Here is another updated character reference for Bastet, Egyptian Goddess of Cats, Protection, and the Lower Nile for my series, Mythologies: Journey Through The Ancient World.
EDIT: Updated her design so she would look more like an Egyptian Mau rather than an Egyptian Hairless Cat or a jackal.

On a side note, there was actually an avatar of Ra called Mau who was depicted as a cat holding a curved flint knife and using it to cut off the head of a snake. This image dates back to before he was depicted with a hawks head and human body according to some scientists. In later images, the flint knife is replaced with a bronze knife and the image depicts Bast. For a time, however, both images were being produced and displayed simultaneously. Cool, hunh?
